Timothy D. Arner

Mr. Arner graduated from Central Michigan University in 1978, with honors, and from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1982, Cum Laude (with honors). Mr. Arner has been practicing law for 34 years and is a trusted member of the legal community. He started his own law practice in Charlevoix in 1983, and in 1984 moved his practice to Boyne City, his parent’s hometown.  Mr. Arner operated his law practice at 110 Water Street from 1984 until December of 2015, when he joined the Doak Law Firm on Main Street.

Mr. Arner has been the City Attorney for the City of Boyne City and township attorney for many local townships. He has served as a hearing panelist for the Attorney Discipline Board for 29 years, hearing and deciding grievances filed against other attorneys for alleged professional misconduct. He has been an adjunct professor at North Central Michigan College, teaching Legal Ethics and Law Office Management in the paralegal program. He also is a trained civil mediator, and he volunteers his time at Northern Community Mediation as a mediator.

Mr. Arner puts to work all of his experience and education for his clients to get the best possible result.
