Don't waste your money! He made everything sound good told me he was going to do this or that and didn't follow through with anything after he was paid. He was rude, arrogant, would say something and the next time I seen him deny that he ever said it. If you put any work into my case at all it was ag...ainst me. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody

Dave Funk is a Harvard law graduate born and raised in beautiful Alpena MI. He has a passion for his community and is well respected by his peers. He is an excellent attorney. But the best compliment I feel I can give Mr. Funk is that he is such an amazing blue collar family man. Both inside and ...out of his office he is such a cool and respectable man. Mr. Funk was my lawyer for a few years and he did not share information with me nor discusses my options for example in my court transcript it stated that I receive an asset clear and simple but after words he explained that that was just lawyer talk and I did not get it. I even went and got another... option and that lawyer said yes I should get it. But Dave would not budge and he did not know how to subpoena for a major company even though I gave him all the information, he did not know how to do a qdro and placed dates in them that were not fair to me. The only thing that Dave was consistent on was telling me how pretty I was, I had to walk away after the divorce was finale and hire another lawyer to fix and finish everything. It took me 4 years.

David Funk is an EXCELLENT lawyer. i recently got busted by HUNT team (undercover narcotics police force) for selling marijuana. I had a prior distribute manufacture of marijuana and had just completed my probation for that successfully about 6 months before. I also had a prior MDOP (mallicious destr...uction of property) and he SOMEHOW kept me from going to jail throughout the whole thing. He also arranged a deal for me called HYTA (holmes youthful trainee act) which makes it so that after all my probation and community service is complete there will be no record of this ever even happening. I had seen other attorneys before Mr. Funk and they all had said that I would be doing more jail time on this offense then i did on my first one (60 days, for first offense!). DO NOT HIRE A COURT APPOINTED ATTORNEY!!! They are a waste of time and money (you usually have to pay 350$ to 700$ for one anyways). Me and my girlfriend hired Mr funk to take our case in may of 2010 for 2,500 for both of us and did not regret it. We were not in a state where we could afford him at the moment either...had to go pawn her car to give him the money in time for our court date...and let me tell you it was soooo worth it...Me and her both would be sitting in jail right now if it wasn't for David. If you are going to hire anyone anywhere near Alpena MI...Make it David Funk...i PROMISE you...you will not regret it...he will get you the absolute best deal you can possibly get....Now that my court is over im looking forward to starting school, i got to keep my job, I dont have a felony on my record, and i can put this all behind me, thanks to David Funk.
