EDRO justice

I will forever be grateful to Shelley for taking on my unbelievably skewed EDRO in August 2015. Since my surreal judgment of divorce in 2009...a result of ex-family ties with the in Emmet County Court, I desperately sought counsel from several attorney consultations throughout Michigan without suc...cess. Thankfully Shelley acccepted my journey for justice with positivity and tenacity, along with Ryan Hulst ending in December 2019 with an agreeable outcome. I wish I could turn back time, have Shelley as my initial counsel for a "collaborative divorce", rather than the experience I endured. I highly recommend Wilson-Kester for a fair, outstanding, and compassionate experience!

Difficult Divorce

I recently went through an incredibly difficult divorce, and I am pleased to say that Wilson Kester provided invaluable assistance throughout the entire process. I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism, expertise, and dedication to achieving the best possible outcome for their clients. ... My ex husband made the process incredibly difficult to say the least. My divorce involved obtaining a PPO, the sale of a home out of state and intense disputes over assets and child custody matters. Shelley demonstrated exceptional attention to detail. Her strategic approach and ability to anticipate potential challenges proved invaluable in achieving a favorable outcome. Shelley made me feel very protected and put my anxieties at ease. Not only was my attorney great but the entire team at Wilson Kester was compassionate and supportive throughout the divorce process. Specifically my paralegal Krista who whenever I had questions, concerns, or needed updates on the progress of my case, consistently responded quickly and provided me with the information I needed. I am immensely grateful for their guidance, and I can confidently say that they made a profound difference in the outcome of my case.

Child custody/parenting time

Shelley Kester and her experienced staff worked quickly and efficiently to set realistic goals and expectations in the best interests of my daughter and I. Along the way, many obstacles and emotions presented that were immediately addressed in a professional and confident matter. The entire staff a...t Wilson&Kester were a pleasure to work with even in the most challenging of situations. Early on, Shelley said to me "you are a good man and father and I have your back". That is exactly what happened over the following 2 months, resulting in a desirable outcome. I will be forever grateful for the services provided! Tim

Simply the Best

I hired Shelley to represent me during the middle of a post-divorce child custody case against a narcissist that felt that our children were his property and I was desperate to protect them from his psychological, emotional, and sometimes physical abuse. Before I hired Shelley, I felt discouraged and... almost entirely hopeless. After Shelley and Ryan began working on my custody and parenting time case, I felt empowered and protected. They went above and beyond at every turn with such compassion, encouragement, professionalism, and commitment. I honestly wouldn't recommend any other firm for family needs. Their expertise, dedication, and attention to every detail are simply unmatched. I not only gained confidence and hope, I felt like I gained life-long friends. Thanks to Shelley and her outstanding team, my 4-year battle is over and for the first time ever, I know my children and I are safe and able to breathe deeply.

Competent Attorneys and Wonderful Firm

Shelley and Ryan represented me in a Separate Maintenance Agreement (legal separation) after a 37 year marriage to a not-so-responsible and not-so-honest spouse who was actually caught lying on his court paperwork. Trust me when I say they know how to deal with less than simple and straightforward ca...ses. I am so grateful that my local attorney interviewed firms in MI and selected Wilson Kester based on his opinion of their skill level, reputation, personalities, compassion and willingness to go to bat for me. I was impressed from the moment we had our first telephone call. Shelley and Ryan were very responsive to all of my emails and questions and were like a guiding light. They managed my expectations realistically, were creative in ways to work around roadblocks and always kept me up to speed as if I was right there in Traverse City instead of 5 states away. I could not have managed without them and I highly recommend them to you if you are looking for competent, honest, hardworking, responsive and personable attorneys who make you feel like you are their only client.
