Myra S. Dutton

Myra Dutton has been guiding families and individuals through complex systems for over 25 years as an education attorney and disability rights advocate.

She is dedicated to ensuring her clients receive the services and support they are entitled to, facilitating improved communication and cooperation, and repairing and strengthening relationships with service providers.

She has successfully represented students in complex constitutional and civil rights litigation under the IDEA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the ADA, from administrative hearings and complaints through state or federal appellate processes where necessary.

Myra has also assisted families with juvenile court proceedings, guardianships, and disability trusts. She has a growth mindset, enjoys challenges and problem-solving, and is dedicated to being a trusted and knowledgeable advocate for families.

Myra has provided training and information to education professionals, parents, advocates, the medical community, mental health providers, and others about legal issues in public education and behavioral health systems.

She has been a higher education administrator and a nonprofit CEO, but has always been a legal advocate first and foremost.

Myra has been an active volunteer throughout her career. She has three children and two grandchildren and enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
