Ms

My husband hired Judith Hearn in our divorce. It has been a fiasco from the start. Missing or last minute documents, documents scanned illegible, doesn't know the law, rude, does not make time or return calls once she has your $. We have had 3 mediations and now a waiting for 3rd court date for what ...should have been a very simple divorce, no kids...no big $. Just does everything she can to drive up her fee. Btw...my attorney said she had a stroke a few years ago. She's never been right since. Just stocking up funds for retirement. Stay away...I am out 10 grand and she's my opposing council. She's horrible.

Kimberly

Do not recommend this attorney. Hired her for a divorce with child. She told me steps to take, then turned around and acted like I was doing all the wrong things. Was rude over the phone and through email, and fine in person. Told her exactly what I wanted and she seemed to do her own thing regardi...ng the custody and parenting of my child. Couldn't seem to keep facts straight. Not dependable in my opinion. Makes you feel like you are in it alone..

Bad attorney

She made promises that she did not follow through with. She told me her retainer was 1500 and charged 2500 on my cc then said she couldn't remember quoting me 1500. Took her 6 weeks to serve divorce papers on my x. She had no time for me and did absolutely nothing when my x lied in court. She complet...ely ruined my life.

Uncommitted and unprofessional

I approached Judith Hearn for help with a legal issue. As she was convincing me to retain her, she was very adamant about helping me and made several promises of what she could/would do for me. Once I had retained her, however, it was a completely different story. She made me feel like my case w...asn’t worth her time. She would never return my calls. If I had a question, the only way to get it answered was to go to her office so she had to talk to me. She didn’t even bother to come to my arraignment. It seems that at soon as Hearn had my money, she just wanted to shuffle me through the process and get rid of me as quickly as possible, with as little work as possible. As to the dispensation of my case, she was no help at all. The instant she faced any resistance from the prosecutor, she immediately rolled-over and any and all promises she made me were out the door. At the sentencing, she didn’t say a word; not chiming in even once to say anything to my benefit. I’m sorry to say it, but I honestly felt cheated by this woman. Looking at it objectively, having Hearn as an attorney was essentially the same as having no attorney and pleading guilty; since the end result would have been the same either way. All in all, Judith Hearn is a very poor lawyer. If you all need is a lawyer to be “there” standing next to you as the judge reads your sentence, Hearn is for you. If you actually want real help with your legal issues from someone who may care even just a little, I suggest you steer clear.

If you want to win, go to Judy.

Judy is an amazing lawyer, she has done work for me since 2007, each case crazier than the last and requiring more complex law issues be tackled than the previous one. Judith has always listened to me with compassion and kindness and taken on my cases as if it were her own case. She has used her s...ense of humor to help me and others cope with situations that are beyond understanding, and has spent countless hours educating opposing counsels and judges as to what the law requires. The best part of having Judy as your advocate is that the other side doesn't even see the shutdown coming, she just shuts them down with the law and the look on their face is priceless. I highly recommend Judy to all my friends, and am honored to have such a knowledgeable and skilled advocate to protect me from those that would trample on my Constitutional rights because they don't like me, or that I have the rights. All that stands between you and your rights being taken away is a lawyer that understands the law, and how to demonstrate tot he court the brutality with which people are trying to take those rights, and it is scary how easily a small group of people can get together and assault your rights. Judy's amazing, there's no other way I can put it. I have my children with me today because of her, and my upcoming book has a positive ending to it all because of her efforts. There's no doubt in my mind, another lawyer would have lost the case. I can't say enough wonderful things about Judy.
