May 2015 in what I thought would be accidental and a citation, Turned into a ticket stating a criminal offence and fines. I do take responsibility for what happened on my property (Grass Fire) but in my opinion a misdemeanor criminal charge is extreme. Not intending for a fire to get out of hand. H...ired Erin Fisher (Lawyer) who represented my case in the Oceana 78th district court. Erin explained the state law is written as a deterrent to burning. The Oceana court which would have been drawn out over several weeks Erin completed in just under a couple of hours, with a fair sentence. A fine and after a short probationary period all misdemeanor charges will be dropped. (I’m not a lawyer) It is my belief (most times) laws are written with the maximum penalties and going into court without legal representative is suicidal. Don’t be taken advantage of in any court system - hire an attorney. No matter how large or small your case maybe legal representation is a necessity.
