After over 10 years of City trying to zone out industrial facility along with that of several other faculties I took over all aspects of this situation. I changed strategies and built coalitions with ... with other facilities (competitors), business leaders, community leaders, city officials, state regulators, customers, railroad, congressional representatives, and residents to relocate facility (along with competitors and customer) to another acceptable location. Identified target site (Great Lakes Seaport) which was a CERCLA site. Resolved all CERCLA issues, obtained unanimous support from all stakeholders and negotiated agreement with city (a major US city) to build a new facility complete with rail, roads and dock for Great Lakes ships at its cost to replace a 100 year old facility.
