Disappointed

Integrity in an attorney/client relationship is vital. During a difficult time in our lives with the loss of a parent, we reached out for representation from Attorney Shane Henry. We were devastated with his betrayal, lack of professionalism, and the absence of client support in handling an unrelated... matter. He deliberately communicated with the opposing attorney and made decisions without our knowledge or authorization.

Not worth the money

Shane henry is inexperienced. He does not stand up and fight for you in court. He does not know his case when front of a judge, constantly looking at notes and not speaking up to represent his client. If you have a difficult case consider someone else.

Obviously this is not the kind of experience I want for my clients, and it is apparent in your eyes that I missed the mark here. That being said, since you chose to remain anonymous, I can't respond specifically to you. However, as attorneys, we use notes. We use them to make sure we address certain points and to make sure we do not mislead the court (an ethical duty) by presenting inaccurate facts. Frankly, the idea of any attorney not having notes on their case is scary to me. As far as speaking up, again, not knowing who you are, I cannot address specifics, but there are times when it is appropriate to say things and times when it is not appropriate. Additionally, in litigation, there are no guarantees. We make our case based on the facts we have and what can be proven. Sometimes things go well, and other times, the judge does not agree with our position. We have no control over that. Again, it is apparent that I did not meet your expectations, which is not what I like to hear. I wanted to take the time to at least reach out and address your concerns, however.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
