Jeff Chalmers is an experienced attorney with established expertise in real estate, lending and business matters such as, sales acquisition, commercial lending, commercial leasing, construction, and real estate development.

Jeff has represented regional bank holding companies and Fortune 400 companies for real estate due dilligence matters in conjunction with mergers and acquisitions. He has represented owners, commerical developers, and municipalities for development companies pertaining to development and leasing of national chanin stores and their and related construction, construction financing, permanent loan financing, and commercial mortgage defeasance transactions.
Jeff was a Co-Founder and former Director and General Counsel of Portage Commerce Bank. He served nine years as a Director of The Bronson Healthcare Foundation and currently serves as a Director of the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and hte Kalamazoo Cultural Center.
