Donald L. Sappanos

I was referred to him through word of mouth recommendation. Turned out to be a bad idea. He seemed interested in my case... until I paid my retainer. Once paid, he disappeared. I did not hear from him for months. He is impossible to get a hold of. We had agreed on a retainer fee, but once he f...ound out what I do for a living, the price doubled. I agreed for him to represent me, and he pulled the bait and switch. I paid top dollar for him, not his straight out of law school partner. In the end, they were no help whatsoever. It seemed like he didn't really care about my case, and his higher profile cases were more important. It was just another dollar for him. He could have at least acted like he was interested. The outcome of the case was worse than if I had handled everything myself. He put off working on my case until the night before. Had he kept up with it, he would have gathered important information long before hand, and the outcome would have been totally different.

Donald Sappanos, after paid a retainer, does not answer telephone messages. I have been trying to reach him for the past 2 months to no avail. When I first retained him, a representative from his office met me in a parking lot to pick up the check. Then when it was time for my court hearing, anoth...er representative came to the court house for another case but said hello. When I went in front of the Magistrate, alone, I was told to pay the fine. Since that date in time, I have a need to speak with Mr. Sappanos regarding the next action to finally settle things with the Secretary of State. Until that action is taken, I cannot have my license reinstated in the State of Michigan. All I want is to have a discussion with my attorney to learn when he will clear my record.
