About Andrew
Biography
I am a proud alum of the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where I achieved a Juris Doctor in 2013. In addition to being licensed to practice law in Michigan, I serve as a Judge Advocate (JAG) in the U.S. Army Reserve. As an Army lawyer, I have primarily practiced in criminal law (referred to as military justice); I deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in 2018, serving as the prosecutor (Trial Counsel) for a large logistics brigade. Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to receive specialized training on trial advocacy and representing servicemember victims of sexual assault.
When I'm not honing my craft as an attorney, I actively pursue a variety of interests. I love to read, write, tinker with technology, and run. I enjoy being outdoors with my wife, Melissa; our three children, Evan, Maya, and Rohan; and our three rescue dogs, a Jack Russel Terrier named Clover, a Chihuahua named Paco, and a Great Pyrenees named George. Additionally, Melissa and I enjoy spending time together at the many fantastic eateries and microbreweries in Southwest Michigan.
