Jennifer Michelle Alberts

Jennifer Alberts is an appellate attorney who represents clients in a variety of practice areas, including probate, criminal defense, family law, medical malpractice, personal injury, defamation, and contracts. Jennifer has extensive experience researching, analyzing, and writing about complex legal issues.

While attending the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, one of the nation's top fifty law schools, Jennifer developed an early reputation for excellence as a legal writer. She earned the Scribe Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing, and wrote two original papers that were selected for publication in law journals. Jennifer participated in moot court, achieving Brief Writing honors and placing in the top 16 overall in a competition of around 150 competitors. She also served as an Articles Editor on the Indiana Law Journal and coached mock trial in her spare time. 

Prior to attending law school, Jennifer graduated from Michigan State University with high honor, earning a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies pertaining to Law and Society. Jennifer was an avid participant in mock trial at MSU, serving as Vice President, earning numerous awards, and captaining one of the program's teams to the National Championship Tournament.

Before working as an associate attorney at the Speaker Law Firm, Jennifer worked as a law clerk for the Speaker Law Firm, assisting the firm in conducting research, preparing for oral argument, and drafting appellate briefs. She has worked on highly significant cases, achieving published opinions in favor of the law firm's clients including assisting Liisa in obtaining a published victory in conservatorship appeal Bittner. Jennifer also worked at the Michigan Court of Appeals Research Division as an intern, where she analyzed legal issues for the Court and drafted memos and opinions for the judges. 

Jennifer is an active member of the Ingham County Bar Association.
