Diego Jose Rojas

I serve as the Director, Claims Operations and Staff Attorney for the Michigan Professional Insurance Exchange (MPIE). MPIE is a reciprocal insurance exchange, offering the best in risk and patient safety education, vigorous defense of the appropriate practice of medicine, and competitive premium rates for medical liability insurance.

Prior to joining MPIE, I litigated matters in Michigan, DC, Maryland, Virginia and the Federal Courts. Most recently I was a partner in a law firm specializing in insurance defense. I was also a past president of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association (2010-2011). In previous years, I served as Secretary (2008-2009) and as a Board Member (2007-2014). In 2012, Super Lawyers magazine first named me a Rising Star and later a Super Lawyer 2014 & 2015. In 2008, I was appointed to the Maryland State Bar Association’s Leadership Academy, an exclusive 12-month program designed to assist lawyers to become better leaders while offering opportunities for future leadership roles in the bar.
