A graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Wayne State Law, Ms. Pollicella has been a licensed, practicing Michigan attorney for 19 years, with a primary focus on business transactions, mergers & acquisitions, real estate, labor & employment and corporate law. The Founder and Managing Partner of Pollicella & Associates, PLLC, she started Cannabis Attorneys in Michigan in 2009 to advance marihuana law in Michigan, and has been passionately advocating for Michigan’s medical marihuana industry since. In addition to regularly writing, speaking and educating on the MMMA, Ms. Pollicella has been actively involved in crafting legislation to create a legal Michigan medical cannabis industry, has vigorously fought for municipal ordinances for non-residential caregiver and patient facilities, and has successfully secured numerous special use permits for her medical marihuana clients. A recognized expert in Michigan medical marihuana law, she has submitted three amicus curiae briefs to the Michigan Supreme Court in support of patient and caregiver rights, and has successfully sued employers and the MESC on behalf of patient employees.
