This guy has to be the worst lawyer ever. Had I known then what I know now I would have taken my chances and defended myself. I would not trust this guy to handle a parking ticket. He was not prepared for court never ordered police reports or evidence reports. never ordered the pictures. told me to ...forget the transcript it was of no help even though the other party was caught lying several times. He seemed like he know what he was doing right up until trial day when all of the above came out. The only thing he was on top of was collecting his money he never missed a chance to bill me. But did little to no work on my case he told me the morning of trial that I was going to be convicted and he would get me a plea with no jail time. Yeah right 6 months in jail and the judge laughed him out of court. I asked to see him 10 times in jail my wife called several times he never returned the call or came to see me. If I had owed him money he would have been on the phone. He's mostly a court appointed hack and not a good one at that. He shows up collects him 500.00 from the state. i paid by the hour I would have had the same outcome with this lawyer if he would have been court appointed. He has to be the worst lawyer in all of Tuscola county. I would reccomend defending yourself before hiring Duane Burgess.
