I had a difficult case going on with CPS and my case was already in motion when I met Mr. Boucher. I informed Mr. Boucher that I only needed him on retainer, nothing else and if I didn't end up needing his services then my retainer I put down would be refunded. Mr. Boucher and I agreed proceeded for...

Note: changing my name for privacy I hired Matthew Boucher in January of 2020 and he represented me in court until February 2022. In the beginning, Matt seemed like a really, really great attorney. He was attentive, he was loud and assertive in court, and overall carried himself very nicely. He...
Thank you for your sharing your experience with my legal services. I can you tell you that you are correct that I provided services for over two (2) years, at no additional cost. In fact, I did not charge you nearly enough for my work. In fact, I charged much lower than the going rate for services because I believed in you and in your case. Further, you still haven't paid your full balance. However, I continued to file motion after motion, and we were successful on every attempt, as you indicate, and is true. This is because I did additional work to have you prepared, and protected, for your matter. I also met with you time after time, including multiple weekends (which you were not billed for and is my time with family), to help ease your stress and explain what we needed to do next to protect you - which we did, at every step of the way. Further, I was approached by the Prosecutor on your matter shortly after your true sentencing date. He had indicated that the Judge changed her mind regarding the plea deal I had worked out on your behalf. Essentially, she was going to follow my recommendations that I argued for on your behalf - for over two (2) years. The Judge also reviewed the filings I made on your behalf at your true sentencing date, not what your new, expensive attorney proffered. I am not in the business of overcharging. I also indicated to you by phone that I did not believe it was wise to spend upwards of $50,000 on an attorney when I have already done all of the work. As you are aware, I charged very little and was not paid in full. Yet, I worked your case diligently for over two (2) years and created the outcome that I felt you so deserved, and that you in fact received. Further, the Prosecutor on our matter indicated to me, after your sentencing, that the Judge had in fact modified her position shortly after our first sentencing date. I explained to you her position at that time regarding firearms and that we needed to keeping fighting for you. I continued to fight for you, and we were successful. You in fact followed my lead on what we needed to do for over two (2) years. And it protected you. I am thrilled that I could assist you and help avoid any mandatory prison time - as was required by law. You were just beginning college during the end of my representation and furthering your life, as we discussed you should. I hope your life is moving forward in the fashion that you wanted and that I protected.
