Handled my Divorce/Separation

I was thankful that he took my case and felt very secure having him represent my side of a divorce, with some exceptions - stated later within this review. None of which is meant to be spiteful, just stating my opinion. I was going through more than just the divorce at the time I retained Mr. McLeod... and I felt he was sincere, in his concern towards me, about that. One of the reasons I felt good having him. I felt he was empathetic towards the issues (turned out to be life threatening health issues,) He is very expensive , however, and I had no money. HE IS A GOOD LAWYER...but, I felt very hurt at how much money he took from my settlement. He made out with more than I did and seemed very content with that. My calls of fear, sadness and 'need to know what was going on" (my husbands lawyer was always slacking , causing us to have to force responses hence my fear filled phone calls- costing me more as well, I'm sure ) - was to blame. However, If my health would have been better at that time, knowing who I am, I would not have trusted as much (especially because of who my husbands lawyer was) and read more of the fine print within the decree and questioned a few things that I did sign, before I signed them. I even resigned a signature page the day after I signed the final papers, because of a "typo" and was never shown what it was. I was too sick and never asked to see it but, I don't think I should have had to ask. It should have been shown to me. Hind sight is 20/20. Some good did come out of it so, I have to stay looking on the bright side. I am disabled and unable to work and that money was very important to me. I would still recommend him, just make sure you are healthy, wealthy and wise.
