Specializing in helping workers receive their workers compensation benefits for nearly 30 years.
Attorney John C. Chowning obtained his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 1982 and his Juris Doctor (law degree) from Wayne State University in 1985. He started representing insurance companies for the first three years of his practice, and has represented injured workers over the next 30 years. This has allowed him to understand how insurance companies approach settlements and he has obtained millions in benefits for his clients. He is also not averse to trying cases if a settlement is not adequate, and has tried hundreds of cases.
Mr. Chowning has a special capacity to listen and understand the needs of all individuals represented by him. His knowledge of medical issues and decades of dealing with difficult types of injuries has made him very efficient in helping clients get the aid they need in Workers' Compensation, Social Security, and personal injury cases. He also handles all his clients' legal needs which includes the drafting of wills and Power of Attorney.
As a Michigan Workers' Compensation attorney, Mr. Chowning has worked on thousands of Workers' Compensation claims, handling each case personally as if it was his own.
As a friend of labor, Mr. Chowning has weekly office hours at four UAW locals. He has given lectures for various groups on the rights of injured workers. Many attorneys throughout the state of Michigan refer their Workers' Compensation cases to him because of his expertise.

John Chowning is a magician when it comes to work compensation claims. Time and time again he finds ways to get his clients the maximum benefits allowable under Michigan Law. Work comp law is one area of law where you not only need to know the law, but you also need to be highly respected among other work compensation attorneys and hearing magistrates in order to get the best result in the shortest amount of time. John has always done is best for every one of the dozens of clients who have been referred to him from this firm!

I endorse John Chowning as an excellent worker's compensation attorney. Mr. Chowning is very well respected in the Flint community and known for the successful representation of his clients. If you have a question regarding workers compensation benefits, Mr. Chowing most likely has the answer.
