A strong advocate during my divorce

My difficult divorce included a custody dispute over my two young children. I worried about my children's well being, and at times my own sanity. Thankfully I came through this feeling secure about both, and I give credit to Ms. Creem's expertise and personal commitment to my case. She was knowledge...able and always professional. On a personal note, it wasn't something that I would have expected to be so important, but it made a real difference to have an attorney who was sympathetic-- I knew that I had an unwavering advocate. I recommend her highly to anyone needing an experienced divorce attorney.

Experienced divorce lawyer for complex financial case

My wife hired a high-profile difficult lawyer and I knew I needed someone to match him. Sarah was less expensive but I found more informed and effective than the other attorney when it came to the complex financial and business aspects of the case. She also helped me get shared custody of our child...ren when my wife from the outset had refused to consider it. Sarah was responsive, a pleasure to work with, and the consummate professional.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2009.

Suspension - Disciplinary issued in OR, 2009

updated on 06/14/2018

This sanction means the attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.

Sarah’s comment:

“I strongly suggested on multiple occasions that my client tell her ex-husband about her son’s criminal misconduct; the Bar determined that that fact was important enough given the circumstances that I should have absolutely insisted or fired her if she did not disclose it. The father had been abusive; the son feared him finding out. At a follow-up hearing I learned she had still not told him. We went ahead with the hearing, with client committing to telling the dad afterward, which she did.”

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline
This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2009
Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
