NOT RECOMMENDED. DOES NOT NEED TO BE IN PRACTICE ANYMORE. Never on time for court, shows up an hour + late every time. Is never prepared. Charges thousands of dollars and does nothing. Never answers calls or texts until the morning of court. Has excuse after excuse for his lack of action on the ca...se. I’ve done everything for myself and even prepared all my own paperwork and documents because Mr. Barker acts like he’s some big shot lawyer who has such a high dismissal rate and is worth $5000+ for a misdemeanor case then charges the same for a felony case? Makes no sense. Embarrassing. He obviously doesn’t realize his brain has gone to the state of early dementia or drug/alcohol abuse. Who knows. I’ve never been so disappointed in a paid lawyer. I’d have been better off with a court appointed attorney at this point, at least I expect them to not do their jobs. DONT HIRE HIM!

I spoke with Mr. Barker on the phone & then met with him for a consultation. I thought he was great. He asked me to send him additional information via email, which I did. I emailed him to inform me if anything else was needed. No response. I called twice & had to leave a message as he didn't pic...k up. Still no response. That was about 2 weeks ago. If he didn't want to take my case, all he had to do was simple tell me. To leave someone hanging when they're in need of advice and assistance is disheartening. Very disappointing but thankfully I didn't invest any more time or money with him.
