I was in the process of dealing with a six-year-old case which I had a warrant for. I kept putting it off because of work and just life basically along with the fear of incarceration. Finally this past November I conjured the courage up and went to pay the warrant. They gave me a court date which I ...was present for and the judge was none too pleased and really exaggerating my probation violations and was strongly pushing drug court on me. I am nearly two years clean and sober and in a methadone program which I informed the judge with proof of treatment. The judge told me to report to probation later on that week which I did.
