Biography
Daniel Boroja is a founding partner of Boroja, Bernier & Associates PLLC, a Michigan law firm headquartered in Shelby Township. Daniel leads the firm's estate planning, probate and trust administration, and elder law and Medicaid planning practice, built on a conviction he and co-founder Joel Bernier shared when they opened the firm in 2014: Michigan families deserve better preparation, sharper strategy, and legal work that holds up when it counts.
Daniel builds estate plans designed around each family's actual circumstances, from wills and revocable living trusts to powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and Lady Bird deeds. He guides personal representatives and trustees through probate and trust administration, and designs Medicaid asset protection strategies both proactively and in crisis, when a loved one is entering or already in a nursing home. Since 2014, the firm has served more than 2,000 Michigan families.
A Michigan native, Daniel earned dual bachelor's degrees with honors in Political Science and Economics from Oakland University and graduated Cum Laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 2013, is admitted to the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and serves on the board of the Macomb County Probate Bar Association.

Probate, trust administration, and elder law matters are handled throughout Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties and across Southeast, Central, and Mid-Michigan, with offices in Shelby Township, Troy, Ann Arbor, and Lansing.
