Daniel Boroja is a founding partner of Boroja, Bernier & Associates PLLC, a Michigan law firm headquartered in Shelby Township. He leads the firm's estate planning, probate and trust administration, and elder law and Medicaid planning practice, guided by the conviction he and co-founder Joel Bernier built the firm on in 2014: Michigan families deserve better, and better starts with preparation.
Daniel began his career as a trial attorney and litigator, and that background runs through everything he does. Estate plans are drafted to survive a challenge, with precise language, creditor protection, and contingencies addressed before they become problems. Probate and trust administrations are run with a litigator's eye for where family disputes start, so estates get closed instead of contested. Medicaid and elder law strategies are built to withstand scrutiny, because a plan that saves a family's life savings has to be airtight. And as a business owner, he brings the same competitive drive to the firm itself: building the team, the systems, and the standards that more than 2,000 Michigan families have trusted since 2014, on the way to a milestone of 10,000.

For those who want the credentials: Daniel earned dual bachelor's degrees with honors in Political Science and Economics from Oakland University, graduated Cum Laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 2013 and the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Macomb County Probate Bar Association since 2024.
