I had Elaine for a DV case. She was actually my court appointed before being hired as my attorney. Her legal counsel helped me get false charges dropped. I still believe if me fighting for my kids wasn't involved we would've had all charges dropped. Here's where I hired her following that case the ne...xt year my ex and I finally split. The way she treated and carried herself as a parent caused us to start a custody battle. Not married she could have custody of our children and this being a mommy state (just an opinion.) Well because of both our lifestyles Elaine helped not me but my children be with the stable providing parent being myself. I thank her every moment cause my kids are safe cared for and loved always. I highly recommend her services.

She was my attorney once and also my husbands attorney. I don't think she knows what she is doing. Not good at all with getting back to you with questions. Very slow to file documents. Husband was sent motion to compel responce for documents that Elaine had never filed. If you don't agree with her, s...he will get loud/rude. Do not hire

Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct states: . In a new client-lawyer relationship, however, an understanding as to the fee should be promptly established. It is not necessary to recite all the factors that underlie the basis of the fee, but only those that are directly involved in its computation.... It is sufficient, for example, to state that the basic rate is an hourly charge or a fixed amount or an estimated amount, or to identify the factors that may be taken into account in finally fixing the fee. When developments occur during the representation that render an earlier estimate substantially inaccurate, a revised estimate should be provided to the client. A written statement concerning the fee reduces the possibility of misunderstanding. Furnishing the client with a simple memorandum or a copy of the lawyer's customary fee schedule is sufficient if the basis or rate of the fee is set forth. During a conversation we were having, she announced at exactly 4:20 PM that she does not mix business with personal time. She declared it was now the weekend and abruptly hung up the phone.

I worked with this attorney, everything she advised me to do ended in poor advice and was even told bsey workers at the offices of the court house said she did me no favors. It looked as if she did not care. She is a very nice attorney, and very nice lady, however I do not think she had my children...'s best interest at heart.
