My husband and I had hired someone to assist us with a mortgage modification. The person in question assured us that within a year's time we would have results or at least an answer either way. He quoted us a set price with half down and the other half due at the midway mark of the whole process. ... We paid him the first amount and he started the process. Six months later he requested that we pay him the second half so that he could continue and complete the process with our mortgage company. We paid him and six months later thought our whole situation would be resolved. When we spoke to the gentleman, he informed us that it would take a few months longer and to be patient. So we waited. At the year and a half mark we attempted to contact the gentleman numerous times and all we got was his voice mail. When we managed to get a hold of his receptionist, she gave us excuse after excuse. Finally, when we threatened legal action, he called us back only to inform us that there was nothing he could do. So we asked for half our money back which was part of the agreement, and he agreed to give it back. Instead, he kept giving us the run around, and that's when we hired Alex. He looked into the situation, managed to contact the man that was supposedly helping us and try to convince him to give us our money back. He promised he would, but never did and that's when we took full legal action. Alex was there every step of the way, and explained the law to us and what our rights were throughout the process. When he told us he was going to do something, he did it. When we had questions, he was always quick to call us back if we couldn't reach him right away. He has vast knowledge of many areas of law, and if there was a question we had that he couldn't address right away, he would take the time to research it and let us know. I highly recommend him to everyone. At the least, call him and talk to him and see. If he can't help you, he will let you know. He has a great personality and is super caring and friendly. We will definitely be using his services in the future. He is an amazing person!
