An individual that I barely knew, and who did not even know how to spell my child's name, tried to blackmail me and my family for money, a car, and other such things. When that did not work, they used the court system and delusional lawyer (who believed this individual's lies) to gain full custody o...f my child- without any evidence of parentage and all without me even knowing what was occurring because they sent court papers to an address I was not living at and failed to notify me any other way. I lost full custody of my child overnight- a child that I had never been separated from a day in their life.
My case was considered "one of the worse circumstances in the history of child custody cases," and deemed "hopeless" by the police, court personnel, support groups, and multiple lawyers. I went through four lawyers before I met Mr. Nesi. They were happy to bill me for everything they could think of, ignore all of the evidence of my child being abused and neglected (by multiple reputable sources, videos, pictures, and medical reports), and told me outright "to keep my mouth shut because (we) do not want to upset the judge with such stuff." After all, it would look bad if the public knew a judge, out of their own haste to punish a good parent who they thought was ignoring the court, gave an innocent child to a monster that was abusing them day and night, wouldn't it?
The judge refused to listen to or look at the evidence, refused to talk to my child, and allowed this monster to attack me both physically and verbally in court on more than one occasion. And the previous lawyers? They enjoyed new cars and fabulous vacations while my family and I were selling everything we owned to keep paying for their useless services and empty promises of how "close" we were to saving my child. As a matter of fact, I lost even more rights and privileges under their guidance.
Mr. Nesi was the FIRST lawyer to actually listen to me and my child. He was there through my anger, through my tears, and through my fear. He was the FIRST lawyer to take the evidence and DEMAND the court review it. It was not an easy process. The court and the other lawyer did all they could to silence him, but he did not stay silent or compliant to their commands. He was there fighting for my child's life as if it was his own child. I never would have believed there was such a lawyer out there that would stake their own reputation on my case if I had not witnessed it first hand.
When the judge spoke down to me, he was right there to call them out for doing so. When I was scared to face even one more court appearance, he was there with his arm around me, reminding me to breathe, encouraging me to find my strength. When I did not understand a court process or some other legal aspect, he took the time to explain it to me at any hour of the day. Most importantly, Mr. Nesi only made promises he could keep.
Mr. Nesi brought the evidence to court, and refused to allow the judge to put it aside or discount it. And even when that monster lunged at me in court and right in front of the judge during our hearings, it was Mr. Nesi who physically put himself in front of me, keeping me physically safe until the sheriff could restrain that monster. And it was Mr. Nesi who demanded that the judge speak to my child on more than one occasion to understand the real truth of what was happening to them.
I will never forget the day that Mr. Nesi told us the words we never thought we would ever hear: "IT IS ALL OVER."
It was Mr. Nesi who got full custody of my child back (and relatively quickly with all things considered).
It was Mr. Nesi who saved my child's life.
My child NEVER had to see or even speak to that monster again.
It was Mr. Nesi who gave me back my dignity as a parent and as a person.
There is no one that I or my child would ever trust more than Mr. Nesi.
No one.
