During law school, he worked for the Honorable Terrence G. Berg at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in the Special Prosecutions Unit.
Charlie was named a Dick Goehler Scholar by the American Bar Association and received the Joseph Grano Prize for Excellence in Constitutional Law. He has been invited to guest lecture at Wayne State University and Michigan State University Law School.
In 2024, Charlie was appointed to the State Bar of Michigan’s Public Outreach and Education Committee. He is also a member of the Detroit Economic Club Young Leader Program and the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, where he frequently conducts webinars on media law issues.
