Scott Joseph Longton

I went into this thinking it was going to be a disaster. Won't go into details, but my (Now ex!) wife is one of the most masterful spinners of fiction I have ever met, and as a result, I thought I was going to be one of those fathers that got to see their child only on every 6th Tuesday of July. ... Mr. Longton was upfront with me about everything, and when I didn't understand something he was saying (it happened more than I would like to admit) he explained it until I did. He worked with my sometimes hectic schedule, and when it did come down to meeting with "the other side" I knew what to expect .... and I was wayyy more comfortable than I thought I would be as a result. In my case it worked out much better than I expected. The "parenting time" ended up being better than I could have hoped for, and under the circumstances (come on it was a divorce) I couldn't be happier. I would suggest anyone finding themselves in need of a divorce lawyer give this one some serious consideration. Mr. Longton, thank you, and please don't take this the wrong way, but I hope I never have need of your (excellent) services again! ~J

I came to Scott Longton back in July 2014. He was highly recommended by many! From the first time meeting with him, I knew that he would be the one to fight for me. I have been in court, fighting for my kids for 9months now and Scott wins every every hearing for me. Every time that I need to get ahol...d of him, his staff is great about communicating. Scott always returns my phone calls promptly. He is also in the best interest of your family, not just making money. He constantly tries to handle things on his own time so that I am not charged the atrocious amounts that other lawyers will charge you. Me being a single mom of three children, Scott is always going above and beyond to make sure that we are safe and taken care of. Run Forest Run - Expensive, YES! Professional? If you have anything to do with him then your best hope is that he represents your spouse. He missed hearings, with delay after delay and a no show for the final court date. He did not return many phone calls or e-mails! Over 14-months later my divo...rce and settlement were final with a staggering bill (over $7,000). At the final divorce date the Judge had to call him while court was in session to find out why he was a no show. He told me that he didn't think he had to show up and then he charged me because he did not show up that day? He also told me to stay home! The Judge did ask why I did not show up for the final divorce court date? The judge forced him to show up the next day. All the papers could have been signed that day. It was almost 4 months later for the settlement. What kind of attorney is this? He is supposed too represent you, that's his job, too represent you. I thought he was like a deer frozen in headlights when confronted by the opposing council every time. He listens to himself while he blamed everything on his secretary, the opposing council, my X and my only child (daughter). He made, what I considered, anti-Semitic comments about the opposing attorney more than once and talked about the opposing attorneys’ family and personal life. This is not being professional. His bill exceeded his performance. When I tried to negotiate the billing he said that he is adding $1,800 more and that he will send me the new bill. He also said that if I don't pay the bill he is going to put a lien against my home!
