About Ryan
Biography
My practice is devoted to assisting individuals in high conflict family law situations. I focus on divorce and related matters which include custody, paternity, child support, parenting time, enforcement and modifications of Judgments. I also routinely handle step-parent adoptions and guardianship matters, including grandparents rights and third party custody matters. I routinely represent professionals, doctors, business owners, or their spouses, and individuals with complex or unique circumstances.
My background and unique experience as a criminal defense attorney is relied upon when criminal matters intersect with family law issues.
I received my undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, graduating cum laude. While at UDM, Ryan was actively involved in national Moot Court competitions. A recipient of the Dean's Honor Society and Murray Feldman Scholarships, I earned the highest grade in her class in Family Law, Civil Procedure, Federal Income Taxation and Civil Law.
I have been named a Michigan Super Lawyers - Rising Star on 7 occasions and a D Business Top Lawyer in family law in 2014.
I am a past President of the Oakland County Women's Bar Association and continue to actively dedicate my time to this organization, currently serving as Secretary of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. I sit on the ICLE family law advisory board and have presented on ICLE regarding pre-nuptial agreements, order entry, practice in Wayne County and family law practice management.
