Landlord

I explained my issues and Judy was very calm and professional with her answers. She helped steer me in the right direction to resolve the issues with the tenant.

Judy is a hardworking woman! She went above and beyond to help me. She was always honest and straightforward which I so appreciated. She did everything she said she would do. I recommend her for your attorney needs.

Worst experience. Beware

I hired her in September over a visitation issue and hired her to file a motion for supervised visitation. I gave her 1,000 when I hired her. She told me that Thursday, the motion would be filed Monday. Tuesday came I hadn't heard from her so I messaged her asking. I was told it would be filed the ...next day. That day came and went and I messaged her again. I kept asking if she got my files I sent her with also no response. She got very hostile and told me I needed to "chill out" then she sent me an email saying every message she has to respond to I'm being charged for. I asked for my money back she told me no refunds. Finally after 42 days passed and my motion still was never filed I decided to fire her. She threatened me saying if I posted a negative review I would have bigger problems. Then the next day She messaged me apologizing and blamed her partner April and told me I would get a refund at the end of nov. then she told me my motion was coincidentally drafted the day I fired her and asked if she should file it. I said no. I had already fired her officially. she then offered to do my case for free but I declined. I messaged her in the beginning of Dec asking where my money was that she said she would return. She said she would check with her partner and then asked if I wanted her help with my case. No!!! I messaged her again multiple times asking why I haven't got my refund. She kept giving me excuses for why she hasn't checked with whoever issues the checks. It's now Jan and still have nothing.

You know, we tried but I may have simply been too hopeful that we could hurry up and get it done. Good work takes time and unfortunately you were unable to wait for us. We understand and apologize. Judy

Disappointing Law Firm

Judy was hired to handle a divorce for me. Total mix up at firm at who I requested, who I got to handle my case and then I got Judy who I asked for. Judy attended my mediation that I had to pay her to do however did not get judgement typed up based on agreed mediation. She leaves the... client to do some of the work when I was paying her to do it. I would not recommend her for any legal situations she could be used for.

Client S: I am so sorry that you felt that you did not get what you wanted in this divorce. In divorce it seems to feel like everyone loses. However, the good thing is that, as the public record reflects, you did very, very well in this divorce and ended up with a majority of the assets due to excellent lawyering. In any event, I feel for someone who did not want a divorce in the first place. I sympathize with your anger over this fact. As to working on your case, every client looking for an attorney should have one that let's them be involved with the footwork in the case. It helps keeps the lines of communication open and saves the client money in the end. Good luck with your future endeavors. I trust that you are well-set for them. Judy

"I met with Judy this past fall as a fellow lawyer in the Livonia community, and have seen her active on social media helping others with extreme patience and excellent legal knowledge. I have referred her some clients in the family law arena, but I know she is well versed in other areas as well. I think she is a top choice for someone looking for an attorney that takes each client and matter seriously and gives it full attention."
