James R. Acho

Jim Acho was my professor 15 years ago. Who knew that years later I would have to hire him as my attorney in a wrongful discharge case? All I can say is at both he was amazing. The best professor I ever had and the best lawyer I could have hired. He is so smart and aggressive and passionate. He (and ...his associate who was also great) got my life back on track. As a school superintendent victimized by a shady Board of Education, my entire career was in jeopardy. After tinkering with association attorneys, I knew I needed to get serious. After I researched Jim Acho's credentials, I was impressed. He took the time to answer my email personally within 24 ho...urs. He took the time to review my case and invited me down to his office, twice. I was floored and so grateful that he drove on snowy roads until 10 pm at night on the evening the Board and their attorney tried to end my career. They would have succeeded had Jim not been there that evening. A smooth and polished negotiator one moment, and when the situation calls for it, an ABSOLUTE CAGE FIGHTER of an attorney when needed. At the end of the day, my situation ended with being paid in full for a full year, which saves my newly purchased home. Also, Jim looked out for my future, as well, as he caught sneaky tricks their side buried in "legalese", which would have damnified me to future employers. Jim caught this nonsense and DEMANDED reference language for me that will help me land on my feet professionally. At the end of the day, when one is in a legal situation as scary as mine was, the question you need to ask yourself is: "In hindsight, is my life better or worse since my attorney represented me?" Friends, I am here to tell you my life is 100% better after having Jim Acho represent me. You will be making a mistake if you pass him by. One of the reviews written about Jim Acho that led me to reach out to him stated, "A GREAT attorney, and an even better man." I absolutely agree.

I just settled an employment matter yesterday and I am ecstatic and know of no other way to express my gratitude to Mr. Acho then to post a review on the Internet for people to see. I saw THREE lawyers before I saw Mr. Acho and all three said I had NO CASE. They disregarded me like I was an insignifi...cant nothing. I was already depressed over being wrongfully terminated and now on top of it lawyers are telling me I had no case. I has worked in a specialized field for more than 23 years and I knew finding another job making the same money I had been in the only field I have known since I graduated from college was very doubtful. I became very depressed and in a matter of weeks my entire life was in shambles. My children were worried about me, my husband and I had serious marital problems as a result. He is AMAZING! He is such a compassionate man and will fight for you. He is very blunt and direct but only so you focus on the minusses and plusses of your case. He always answered my calls. He always took time to listen to me vent. He was part psychologist and part lawyer for me. He even sent my husband and I a dinner for two card out of the blue because he knew we needed a night out together. He always made me laugh when I was down too (have him do his "Scarface" impression for you) and is truly one of the kindest-hearted people I have ever met. My husband and I are going this morning to look at new cars because I have a very nice check on the way. It's not an enormous amount of money, but it is enough to let us buy a new car that we desperately need, take a family trip to Disney (which my kids are on cloud nine about!), pay some outstanding credit card debt and basically move forward with my life. Now I feel like I am vindicated and am worth something! That's worth more to me than the money. My life has literally gone from drab and dreary to one of peace and optimism because of this man. I had been to several Attorney's prior to hiring Jim looking for someone to represent me in my lawsuit for wrongful termination.
