The Best!!

When my Dad passed away we found out his estate had to go into probate. I was overwhelmed and did not have a clue as to how to proceed. I contacted Robert Cassar and he immediately put me at ease. He handled everything efficiently and professionally. His assistant Wendy, was great to work with also. ...I was always kept informed on everything. Rob and Wendy made the whole process go smoothly. I would highly recommend their office to anyone!

dont ask your clients how much money they make

Probably the worst decision I ever made, good ol' bob got his money up front and flipped the switch, it was like taking off a mask once he was paid, not sure how someone walks away with a charge when they were under the legal limit but this guy has no experience and truly doesn't care. Never sent... me any of my documents from the court, we never reviewed anything together and I'm pretty sure that the he didn't look at my file until it was court day! Good luck rob, it is not appropriate to ask someone for another 10k just to see "what you can do". Absolutely unprofessional and inappropriate every step of the way just to not show up on the day of court. After discussing my case with other lawyers they were baffled as to why an attorney would allow a client to plead guilty to such a charge, for him it was the easiest money he ever made without having to spend more than half an hour of work. Spent time with me upfront, wasted almost 2 hours of my time selling himself and how great he was just to be let down. Spent more time boosting his ego than reading my file! I would never recommend this guy Zero Stars!

Handled my divorce with respect and the utmost professionalism.

I went to Robert Cassar for advice on divorcing my husband. I was served with divorce papers four days later and it was a real life war of roses for all intensive purposes. My ex husband had hired a very aggressive and dirty lawyer, it was horrible. I went back in and paid Robert the retainer, best d...ecision I evermade. He countered and filed status quo. There was a decent sum of money and the custody of my daughter at stake. Throughout the whole ordeal he countered every ridiculous motion with factual follow ups. I was a wreck when I walked into his office for the first time, I had become a middle class, stay at home mom in a controlling marriage, afraid of the future. When my day finally arrived in court, it was phenomenal. Robert guided me with respect and dignity, much the same as he was treated by the presiding Judge. The other lawyer, I'll call him Ben as to not smear his name was admonished many times and told to behave or he would be held in contempt. When people say they don't know how someone sleeps at night, I could ask that about Ben. I seen a review on here that referred to Robert as a male chauvinist and felt compelled to give my opinion. I can attest to the respect and dignity that I was treated with during this entire nightmare. After finally coming to a standstill in mediation, my ex husband finally settled. Much to the disparagement of his attorney. I walked away from that time in my life a confident woman with my respect and dignity in tact. The way that Robert handled my case was impressive, from the get go, he warned me that this other attorney would get his day, Preparing me with facts and that the Judges see through the evilness and it was true. He is a well respected attorney and I refer him any chance I get. He and his office staff always treated me with kindness. Never judge a book by its cover, he may not have a big office in a high rise but he carries himself with class, is well educated on the laws and treats others with respect as well as other professional, attorneys and judges do treat him. I have since moved on and started my career back up and am quite successful professionally and happy. Some of that I can thank him for.

Liar and a Cheat

I had gone to Robert Cassar for a divorce from my long estranged wife. I served in the military and she blew through all our savings binge eating and buying clothes all the while I was enlisted forcing me to declare bankruptcy when I got home. I moved out by a mutual agreement 8 years ago and she the...n threatened to keep my son from me if I didn't jump through her hoops. We stayed legally married until recently when I turned to Cassar for a divorce because I met my new girlfriend, with whom I planned to marry. My soon to be ex wife said she didn't care if I ever divorced her because she enjoyed the welfare and double dip child support. First visit to Cassar - I went with my new girlfriend because was helping to pay the bill. I say "new" but we'd been dating for 2 years. My ex wife and I hadn't lived together in 6 years when I met her. Cassar treated my girlfriend like a mistress and a home-wrecker even though she did nothing wrong. He rudely said to her when she went to answer a question "did you marry them as well? Then I'm going to have to ask you to only speak when your spoken to and sit in the corner." She was in tears and I was furious. WE were PAYING HIM. He shouldn't have treated her that way. I have PTSD and a Traumatic Brain Injury that keeps me from remembering things, and my girlfriend was there to help with the facts in answering questions. For example, Cassar asked how much I paid in child support a WEEK and I answered $200. My girlfriend told him that's not right is $200 a month, not a week... $800 a month is a huge mistake. And he told her to "BE SILENT". He's the epitome of the lawyer stereotype. He was rude to his female staff and I believe he's sexist. The only reason I didn't tell this guy off was because he was significantly cheaper than other lawyers. His office was dumpy and unprofessional. He was rude and crass. Horrible experience. Not only was he terrible to us, but he mislead us on friend of the court laws and we were left duped... if we wanted our divorce papers fixed when it comes to friend of the court, we'd have to pay several hundred more to his undeserving pockets to have another meeting with him. I don't know how he sleeps at night. NO STARS.
