In this role, she played a crucial role in environmental enforcement actions, administrative permit disputes, and real estate plat revisions for agencies such as the Michigan Departments of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and Natural Resources (DNR). Her negotiation skills were instrumental in helping her agency clients avoid costly litigation through settlement agreements.
Nadia also has an impressive track record in Florida, where she served as a Senior Attorney with the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) in its Contracts and Rulemaking Division and as a Deputy Chief Attorney with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) in its Real Estate Division. At DFS, she drafted and negotiated state contracts, while at DBPR, she managed real estate license compliance enforcement and resolved disputes related to broker-held earnest money deposits.
Nadia earned her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School, where she participated in the Environmental Law Clinic and authored an Amicus Brief to the U.S. Supreme Court related to the Asian carp invasive species in the Great Lakes. While in law school, Nadia served as a litigation law clerk with a mid-sized firm that handled real estate and mortgage related matters and gained a deep understanding of real estate and real estate finance contract issues.
After becoming licensed to practice, Nadia served that firm as a loan mediation specialist before tapping her own entrepreneurial spirit by launching her own practice. In private practice, Nadia represented and counseled individuals and small businesses in business, finance, and real estate contract negotiations and disputes. She also served a franchise holdings corporation, managing franchise agreements and compliance matters.
Furthermore, Nadia received mediator training and certification in 2017 through the Michigan-based, Institute of Continuing Legal Education. Since then, Nadia has utilized these skills to assist her clients save litigation costs by settling their disputes and to assist others by serving as a mediator in tribal, contract, and employment disputes. Nadia's mediation skills, calm demeanor, and keen ability to look at problems from many angles allows Nadia to bring parties together to work through their disputes.
The experiences she brings to AT Law Group makes Nadia a valued asset to the firm’s professional, business, and entrepreneur clients.
