Nicole E. Mackmiller takes a holistic approach to the law, recognizing that her clients' legal issues are not one dimensional and impact many areas of their lives. Nicole concentrates her practice on immigration and estate planning. She enjoys working closely with her clients to help them acheieve their immigration and estate planning objectives. While no two cases are the same, Nicole brings twelve years of experience in helping her clients resolve their legal issues, and her training as a mediator helps her think outside of the box when helping her clients solve their legal problems.
In addition to her membership in the State Bar of Michigan, Nicole has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Women’s Lawyers Association of Michigan (WLAM), and the Washtenaw County Bar Association (WCBA) since 2010. She has also spent time volunteering with various immigrants' rights groups over the years. She is a contributor with the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and has lectured on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. She has also achieved her Certificate of Completion from the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Probate and Estate Planning.
Prior to becoming the managing member of Mackmiller Manchester PLLC, Nicole worked for Manchester & Associates in April of 2010, concentrating her practice on immigration, estate planning, and family law. Before joining Manchester & Associates, Nicole practiced immigration law at a private firm in Detroit from 2006 to 2010. She graduated with her Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law in May 2006, and she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with minors in political science and accounting from Madonna University in 2003.
Outside of the office, Ms. Mackmiller is an avid sports enthusiast, and she enjoys spending time outdoors golfing, camping, hiking, and playing basketball and softball. With Michigan's diversity of weather and beautiful landscapes, Ms. Mackmiller spends her downtime exploring the coastal and northern Michigan areas with family and friends. As a former college athlete, she also enjoys gathering with friends to watch college basketball and football.
