Misdemeanor Aggravated Assault - Dismissed

As soon as I found out that the prosecutor's office was charging me with a misdemeanor aggravated assault, I had to do some research on who to go to in Washtenaw County. Reviews directed me to Susan Longsworth. Long story short, the reviews didn't lie! Susan educated me on the whole court process ...and was confident the entire time that I would be okay. She provided me all of the tools that I needed, which took a huge weight off of my shoulders. When it came down to crunch time, my case was dismissed after a settlement conference, which is rare due to the charge that could've potentially been on my record. I'm glad I hired an attorney who was a former prosecutor since she knows both sides of the whole court process. I know that her reputation is great throughout Washtenaw/Livingston County, and I have no regrets whatsoever on hiring who I thought was the best attorney there is in each of those counties. She is very reasonable, and will definitely put in the work needed to give one a favorable outcome. I would recommend Susan Longsworth to anyone who has taken a wrong turn in Washtenaw or Livingston County. You won't regret it!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I have know Susan for many years through her work as an assistant county prosecutor and later as a defense attorney. I was, at different times, working opposite her as a criminal defense attorney, along side her as the city prosecutor, and finally as a co-worker doing criminal defense working for the same firm. Susan is a very capable attorney; knowledgeable about the law, able to work well with clients, other attorneys, and judges. She is an effective communicator and at all times displays a professional demeanor. As a prosecutor I always believed that she was fair and honest in the cases I was defending. As a defense attorney she was able to relate well with the clients and able to form a good working relationship with them, something that is not always easy to do. She has a solid work ethic; was always prepared, punctual, and professional. I would not hesitate to hire Susan as my attorney, and l would strongly recommend her for a position with a criminal defense firm."
