Michael J. Gatti

Michael Gatti was born in Detroit and grew up on the east side. After graduating from James Madison College at Michigan State University, he attended Wayne State University Law School and earned his juris doctorate in 1990. After law school Michael joined Legal Services of South Central Michigan as a staff attorney. In 2002 Michael was appointed Magistrate of the 15th District Court in Ann Arbor. He conducted arraignments for felonies and misdemeanors and presided over small claims trials and traffic hearings. He also conducted "probable cause" hearings for the issuance of arrest and search warrants.

He has served on the board of many non-profit corporations including the Washtenaw Shelter Association, the Washtenaw Homebuyer's Board, the Legal Resource Center and Lurie Terrace. He also spent 5 years serving as the co-Chair of the Washtenaw County Bar Association's Pro Bono Committee. He concentrates his practice on civil litigation and criminal matters. In May 2015, Mike received the Pro Bono/Public Service Award highlighting his dedication to service his community.

Michael Gatti has extensive experience practicing law all over the state of Michigan and has appeared in District, Circuit and Federal courts.
