Excellent, knowledgeable, compassionate attorneys are not born--they are made, and their achievement is recognized by their peers. I received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Law Review of Wayne State's Law School and the Michiganian of the Year Award from the Detroit News. I have taught Family Law in the evening at Wayne State's Law School for 13 years now as an adjunct professor and have practiced law for 32 years in the areas of real estate, business law, family law, construction law, litigation, and appeals. I prevailed in the now famous Baby Jessica case where the U of M Law School's Child Advocacy Clinic was my opponent and have handled almost 30 appeals (including an important case under the ADA in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, where I prevailed). I obtained a jury verdict of over $1M in a First Amendment case and a significant jury verdict in a securities fraud case (both in federal court). I have authored approximately 15 scholarly articles that were published by the Wayne Law Review in the areas of property tax, real estate, trusts and estates, and family law. Many more of my articles were published by the Washtenaw County Bar Association (including a series on foreclosure law). I was a member of the Saline School Board for 12 years and served on the Saline Tax Board of Review as well as the Representative Assembly of the Bar Association. Our firm, Faupel Law, P.C., just celebrated its 25th anniversary, and before founding that firm, I worked for several very successful Detroit-area firms where I received excellent training from the best. Besides me, our firm consists of two associate attorneys, Sandy Musser and Dan Ferency (who both worked with area circuit court judges before joining our firm), and Tony Hart, who is an attorney experienced in sophisticated business transactions; tax appeals and tax planning; and estate planning from the simplest plan to the more exotic. In addition to having his law degree and having worked as a CPA, Tony also has a master of laws degree in Tax. If you are cruising the internet looking for an attorney, look no further than Faupel Law, P.C.

Marian and her firm are wonderful and compassionate attorneys with a lot of patience. During my divorce, they clearly communicated my options and provided direction, which allowed me to make thoughtful decisions. I truly feel blessed that Marian was my attorney. It cannot be easy practicing Family...

Marian is more knowledgeable than most attorneys. I was going through a third party custody battle with an aunt and her husband in regards to my child and thanks to her knowing the standing laws we won the case. I interviewed other attorneys before I found Marian, and they knew nothing about third pa...

Marian Faupel has tireless energy, compassion for her clients, attention to detail and a vast knowledge of family law. She has an ability to recall the smallest detail from our meetings. Going through a very long, emotional divorce and custody case, Marian continues to keep us on track with a positiv...
"As opposing counsel, Marian didn't always make my days easy, as she is a champion for her clients and will fight tooth and nail for them. At the same time, there is no one I could write a more glowing recommendation for. Marian is extremely knowledgeable, a zealous advocate, and a pleasure to work with and be around as a fellow attorney. I am proud to endorse this lawyer as a master in her field."
"Marian Faupel is one of the most well known attorneys in the Washtenaw County community. Her love and passion for the law shows in her work. She is an excellent lawyer that has the ability to handle complex family law related cases. I endorse this lawyer."
"I normally don't take the time to write reviews but I am happy to endorse Marian Faupel. Marian truly loves what she does and it shows. Anyone who has seen Marian arguing on behalf of her clients in court know that she cares. Marian is one of the hardest working attorneys I know. Day after day she puts in long hours and gets real results. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work under her at Faupel law. If you're in need of a family law attorney, her office is one office you need to call."
"I endorse this lawyer. Ms. Faupel was a student of mine many years ago. We have worked together on a number of cases, including the high profile Baby Jessica cases. I have referred students to her for employment and have referred persons in need of an outstanding family lawyer to her. I give her the strongest endorsement."
"Marian Faupel is a passionate and tireless advocate who gets results. Her level of knowledge and experience is second to none."
