James Chryssikos is a dedicated and experienced family law attorney with a passion for family law and a mission to provide the highest quality legal services to his clients and their families. Representing clients in all aspects of family law issues, including divorce, custody, support, separation, collaborative divorce, mediation, post-judgment issues, pre-nuptial agreements, and more, Mr. Chryssikos approaches each case with professionalism, skill, and compassion. Mr. Chryssikos explains the law to his clients in a manner that is easily understandable, presents options, helps identify goals, develops a plan to achieve those goals, and provides regular updates to his clients.
Concentrating on family law his entire career, Mr. Chryssikos has demonstrated his commitment to his craft by serving on the Family Law Council for the State Bar of Michigan from 2015-2024, where he chaired both the Legislative Committee and Collaborative Divorce Committee, as well as serving as an assistant editor for the Michigan Family Law Journal. He has received a certificate of completion for Family Law Certificate Program from the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, as well as being a board member and past-president of the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan, and the executive board of the Hellenic Bar Association of Michigan. He has received an AV Rating from Martindale Hubbell representing the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, and has been named to the Michigan Super Lawyers list as a top family law attorney in the State of Michigan each year from 2018 to present. Nominated by his peers, only 5% of attorneys in a particular field of law are selected by Super Lawyers each year.
