Rob has significant expertise in the handling of medical malpractice civil litigation with experience defending complex birth trauma and catastrophic damages cases. He focuses his practice on the defense of healthcare professionals in medical malpractice, Professional Licensure, and Civil Rights claims.
Rob was born in Detroit Michigan at Hutzel Hospital. He was raised by health professionals and considers all health professionals to be part of his extended family. Rob is the middle child of two sisters, one of which is a physician in the Detroit Metro area and the other is a hospital administrator in the Toledo area.
Rob graduated from Plymouth Salem High School in Canton, Michigan and went on to pursue a degree in economics from Western Michigan University with a minor in Japanese (B.A. 2003). His university experience included a 17-week trip to The Japan Center for Michigan Universities (JCMU) in Hikone Japan for intensive language and culture immersion. Rob attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School on an Honor’s Scholarship (J.D. 2009). While in law school Rob spent two semesters as an extern for Judge Avern Cohn in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan where he developed a broad understanding of federal litigation practice.
Rob and his wife are the proud parents of twin girls. When he is not parenting or practicing law, Rob enjoys circuit training and shooting sports. Rob is an avid skeet, wing and sporting clays shooter.
Rob has been named to Super Lawyer’s “Rising Stars” in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Rising Stars are attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or who have been practicing for ten years or less. Only 2.5 percent of Michigan lawyers are named to Super Lawyers in a given year.
