Shelley J. Schenk

     Attorney Schenk graduated from the University of Michigan Dearborn with a degree in Psychology and Sociology and the Wayne State University Law School. She has been licensed to practice in Michigan since 2003 .

     Prior to law school she worked as a Children's Protective Services worker in the city of Detroit from 1991-2004. She has also been employed by the Wayne County Office of the District Attorney in Honesdale, PA and as a guardian ad litem/Juvenile Public Defender for the Legal Aid and Defenders Association in Detroit.

     She worked inside the Social Security Administration handling claims and has won a large number of cases as a plantiff's attorney for claimants who were denied benefits.

      Her family law practice emphasizes on minimizing strife and conflict while keepting the best interests of children at the forefront of the process. Her biggest strength is the amount of time she spends with each client to thoroughly assess their specific situation. She looks forward to each and every consultation.
