Randi Hermiz

Randi G. Hermiz focuses his practice on matters relating to the strategic growth and protection of personal and business finances. From estate planning to complex commercial transactions, he represents individuals and small and medium-sized businesses in a variety of sectors, with dealings in Michigan, the US, and on a multinational scale.

Prior to practicing law, Randi Hermiz established and operated successful businesses in the hospitality, import/export, and wholesale distribution industries. His comprehensive understanding of business operations complements his legal expertise, allowing him to effectively guide clients through intricate legal landscapes and towards sustained success.

In addition to his business knowledge, clients rely on Mr. Hermiz’s extensive legal experience. He has represented entities across various industries in significant transactions involving multimillion-dollar deals. His portfolio includes:

Negotiating international commodities purchases and distribution agreements.

Before joining Butzel, Mr. Hermiz founded and managed a distinguished boutique law firm that specialized in commercial transactions, estate planning, commercial litigation, and Intellectual Property Law. Clients included high net worth individuals and business entities, primarily consisting of physicians and health care ventures. He has also served as general counsel to a national company in the restaurant industry and as in-house counsel to a multinational company in the tobacco industry.

Randi Hermiz is a Shareholder practicing in Butzel’s Troy office. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association, Chaldean American Bar Association, and the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce. Randi is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where he excelled in Corporate Law, small business practice, Antitrust Law, secured transactions, and federal income taxation. Among his law school achievements are receiving the Book Award (highest grade) in Lender Liability and Antitrust Law.

Outside of his time spent practicing law, Randi is an avid reader and enjoys volunteering his time coaching his children's youth sports teams.
