Remond Atie

Bottom line, do NOT hire him for immigration cases. He clearly has no idea how the system works and when it is your future you are better off paying more money to a reputable company rather than trying to save money as this will eventually come back and cost you more! I hired Mr. Atie to represent ...my sister in an asylum case and he was very happy to take on the case. He made me fill out the paperwork asked me to look up articles that are relevant to the case and write the personal statement. He did not make ANY suggestions or revisions. They mailed the free application and charged me for the case then I never heard back from them other than that the case was received. He asked us to come to Detroit for the fingerprints which he claimed has to be done there. But when I called USCIS they said we can do it in Cleveland which we did. My sister was later on detained by immigration and he was absolutely no help in that either. I called him afterwards and I told him that she had an immigration court date scheduled in Cleveland A YEAR AHEAD OF TIME and specifically asked if he is willing to represent her or if I should transfer my case to a local lawyer. He said "we will be happy to represent her". Two weeks before the court date, I called him and he asked me to come physically to his office to talk about the case (I live 8 hours away) and when I asked if that can be done over the phone, he said I need to charge you for my travel and time or I cannot represent her, you better find someone local. So he basically wanted me to drive 16 hours to tell me this because his time is valuable and mine isn't!!! I asked him. He had more than a year to tell me that but he chose to wait until 10 days before the court date to be me on the spot and leave me under the mercy of local immigration lawyers who are now clearly charging way more than full fee to represent us because "our case was so poorly prepared that they need to work harder to repair the damage". I called him and expressed that I am not pleased with his services and asked for a partial refund since his office basically paid 6$ for the postage and that was it and charged me 2000$ (his down payment).

I want to thank Mr. Atie for being such a great attorney. He is very helpful and knowledgeable. I consulted with four other lawyers before I hired him to handle a very complicated immigration case. In less than a year, he was able to bring my son from Iraq, even with the many complicating situations ...impeding upon his case. He united me with my son who was left behind and that meant a lot to me. Mr. Atie put a lot of effort to reunite me with my son. All the other lawyers I spoke with were hesitant to even deal with our case. His fees were reasonable. Because of Mr. Atie, I am reunited finally with my family.

I am happy and glad that I have met Remond Atie to represent me in a difficult situation with the immigration and he took care of it. I went to many lawyers before him and could not do what he did for me and my family. He brought my son from overseas and united my family. I like the way he worked it ...out.

I picked this attorney to represent me for my immigration problems. He is not trust worthy, no idea what steps to take. Very very poor in his skills and leaving you with the worst problem of your life. He is the worst lawyer you can pick. No real cases, no experience . Just very poor at what he does.... Left me in suspense about my case,did all the wrong steps to help me , and at the end cost me so much money to have a more experience lawyer fix his mistakes. I spent so much money on legal fees that I did not need just because of his inexperience . So I would recommend finding a more experienced lawyer who would no how to handle your case not this one. He's good at steeling your Money , overcharging you and make you really pay for it. Find a different lawyer there are better ones out there.
