Hired Steven in January of 2005 for a divorce that started out of state (Wisconsin) but was transferred to Michigan. To make matters even more complex the case was then transferred to another county 70 miles away. Steven always worked in the best interest of the children, at times reminding me t...o get beyond my selfish anger and frustration, and by September of 2005 a fair and equitable Judgement of Divorce was entered granting joint legal and physical custody and 50/50 parenting time. But that turned out to be just the beginning. Over the past 11 years Steven has defended 13 motions for custody, 4 Friend of the court investigations, 2 child custody hearings, and multiple baseless accusations that never made it into a courtroom. All initiated by the other side. In each new court action, Steven had to travel up to my area and deal with a new attorney; I believe there were 6 or 7 in all. Each time Steven would work diligently to try to find an amicable solution, and every time he was successful. The end result was that Steven was able to do exactly what he promised in the beginning. To ensure that the children's best interests remain the priority. I have had sole legal and physical custody of the children since 2009. I sometimes look back and wonder why Steven would have ever kept me on as a client given all the effort he had to put into the case. Each day I thank the Lord for having Steven on my side through all of this and I know that I am a better person for knowing him. I was not happy with Adam lawfirm and how they handled my divorce case. I was left in the dark for roughly a 5 month period. Until the day before court dates. I would get a call and get slightly filled in and still have alot of half answers questions or I would be told to not worrry about that now. I... will get billed for every email sent. Even if it had one sentence in it. Steven did end up delivering at the end and I was content with the judgement. Just wish more could of been discussed about what my kids wanted instead of it just being swept under the rug.
