Calvin A. Luker

As the author and copyright owner of a published essay available on Amazon, I was disappointed by my experience with Respect ABILITY Law Center and attorney Calvin Luker. After discovering that my copyrighted work had been posted on the firm's website and social media site without my permission, I c...ontacted the firm and requested that the material be removed. Despite my repeated requests, Calvin Luker refused to remove the copyrighted material from his sites and deleted all public postings asking him to promptly do so. Authors invest significant time and effort creating original work, and copyright protections exist for a reason. When a copyright owner asks that their work be removed, I believe that request should be taken seriously and addressed without unnecessary delay. Based on my experience, I was left frustrated by the lack of responsiveness and the way my concerns were handled. I hope the firm improves its procedures for responding to copyright concerns and communicating with authors in the future. I would never hire an attorney who feels he’s above the law and responds to an author’s direct request to remove published content from their site with casual disregard and lack or respect. This review reflects my personal experience and opinions.
