James L. Spagnuolo Jr.

I began working in the personal injury area of the law over fourteen years ago as a law clerk for the law firm of Lopatin, Miller, Freedman, Bluestone, Herskovic & Domol during my first year of law school at Wayne State University School of Law. After graduating and passing the Bar, I was asked to leave the Lopatin, Miller firm by Stuart Freedman and Maurice Herskovic, who were leaving to start their own firm. I became a partner with Stuart and Morey in 2009 and remained at Freedman, Herskovic & Spagnuolo until March 2014. In March of 2014, I was asked to join Bone, Bourbeau, Bourbeau & Lizza, PLLC as a partner and on March 24, 2104 the new firm Bone, Bourbeau, Lizza & Spagnuolo, PLLC was formed.  On September 1, 2017 I left Bone, Bourbeau, Lizza & Spagnuolo, PLLC and opened my own firm, the Macomb Law Group.

My main focus is on automobile cases, both first party, which is a case against your own insurance company for medical benefits, wage loss benefits, and other benefits you may be entitled to under the Michigan No-Fault Law, and third party cases, which is an action against the person who caused the automobile accident. I have also successfully handled medical malpractice, products liability, general negligence, and premises liability claims.

I am or have been a member of the State Bar, Oakland County Bar Association, Macomb County Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Michigan Association of Justice - Sustaining Member, Italian American Bar Association of Michigan, Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, Families Exploring Down Syndrome, ARC Services of Macomb, Brain Injury Association of Michigan and has been a life member of the Disabled American Veterans since being Honorably Discharged from the United States Marine. I also am a member of the board for the Chippewa Valley Education Foundation, a non-profit that raises money to help further education in the Chippewa Valley School District.
