This lawyer came highly recommended to my friend. He only spoke over the phone (he didn’t have an office) and before obtaining his retainer, he swore he would be aggressive and do his best on the case. After receiving the money, he changed his tune. He not only withheld information about the case, bu...t also, refused to be aggressive on the matter. When my friend asked him to be aggressive anyways and requested him to ask for the case to be dismissed, he yelled for 10 minutes repeatedly saying “Are you a lawyer?” And “I’m a good attorney!” In the end, my friend fired him, at the expense of the $2500 retainer, and it was an excellent decision. The case was given to a court appointed attorney who was able to have the case dismissed, something this lawyer was not even willing to entertain.
