Late January I recieved an OWI and I literally thought my life was over. From the start Mr. Awad was on it, asking all the viable information and staying on top of what was needed. I had an impossible implied consent hearing coming up, for refusing the breathalyzer on a Super drunk Dui. These cops were out to push for the maximum of any and everything they could. I felt there was no way I was going to win this automatic one year license suspension. My initial meeting with Mr.... Next thing I know Mr. Awad comes out of conference room and says they dropped the case. I looked at him and couldn't believe what I just heard. I couldn't believe that he won the case! I go into the room to finalize everything, and the cop is laughing and talking with Mr. Awad like he's happy to be the mans friend. Then after the case got finalized, the cop came up to me, smiles, gives me a handshake, wished me good luck with everything. It all just seemed surreal and I am so thankful. Attorney Joe Awad is amazing! He helped me with a dui second offense case. Although we couldn't get the case thrown out he did get my sentencing reduced dramatically by talking with the judge before the judge decided to go with what the prosecution recommended. The judge listened and had leniency on... me and I was very grateful. He also helped me with my license appeal hearing due to the above mentioned case. He prepared me for the hearing and made sure we had all the proper documents and evidence needed to support my case and we won! The hearing officer made a decision on the spot (which is not very common) to grant me my license back. Granted I still have certain guidelines that I must follow and I will have to go back in a year to prove my case (hopefully for the last time) in order to get all restrictions removed and I will definitely be calling Attorney Joe Awad when we closer to that time.
