Sybil Taber Sharvelle

Essentially, Ms. Sharvelle lied to me from day one. Her answers on the matter would change from one consultation to the next, we were billed for things it turned out she never actually did, and then during the final 2 months of the divorce proceedings she just checked out. She would take over a week ...to return calls or emails, if she returned them at all, and even then her reply would either be a refusal to do or look into what I was asking or to refer me to someone else saying it didn't fall under her responsibility. Finally, 6 weeks after my divorce was finalized and the child support still hadn't been taken out of my ex's paycheck I started calling around to the state child support office, county prosecutor's office and county clerks office. They informed me Ms. Sharvelle hadn't submitted the income withholding order, which was in her job description and which she billed us for, so they had no way of collecting those support payments. When I called her office demanding she speak to me this time so we can get this corrected, I was transferred to another partner in her firm who informed me that Ms. Sharvelle will withdraw from my case and I shouldn't be calling her. She refused to do her job, while billing us for it the entire year, and then had another lawyer in her firm reprimand me for wanting her to do something we've already paid her to do, claiming she doesn't have to because she "will" withdraw. I would never recommend her to anyone.
