Travis Lane Hillenbrand

Travis Hillenbrand was born in Oceanside, California, and grew up in Evansville, Indiana. He attended the University of Southern Indiana to do his undergraduate studies before continuing his education at Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale, Illinois.

As a student, Mr. Hillenbrand was a student contributor for the Journal of Legal Medicine, while also sitting as an editor for the Law Review. During his studies, Mr. Hillenbrand took part in various “know-your-rights” campaigns in the Southern Illinois area aimed at raising awareness of a person’s legal rights in various situations ranging from traffic stops to evictions. Continuing his passion for law, Mr. Hillenbrand participated in the trial team where he competed in several trial competitions in Kentucky and Georgia, and a voir dire tournament in Missouri. Mr. Hillenbrand has also worked with organizations devoted to re-integrating returning citizens from corrections facilities and has a passion for seeing returning citizens succeed in their post-conviction lives.

Professionally, Mr. Hillenbrand’s area of practice is in criminal defense, family law, and landlord and tenant cases representing the tenant in civil matters and eviction proceedings. Mr. Hillenbrand believes strongly in equal access to justice and that everyone should be allowed their day in court and should have access to representation.
