Duran Lawrence Keller

A native of Lafayette, Indiana, I became an attorney to give legal assistance to members of my hometown community. Growing up in a large family in the community of Lafayette, I consider myself to be a family-oriented guy, and I understand the value of a strong supporting cast. I also see the impact a community can have on individuals and businesses. I opened my practice in Lafayette so I can continue to be an integral part of this community. With my personality and skills, I am a powerful asset for my clients and will act with fortitude to resolve challenging circumstances.

I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Management before earning my law degree from Southern University Law. My management degree combined with my law degree is a unique combination of skills that I bring to my practice representing individuals  in a wide variety of civil matters, but I focus on civil rights, representing real people.

I worked as a mediator through law school and clerked for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in both the Hardcore Gangs and Major Crimes divisions. While at Purdue, I had the opportunity to intern with a private law firm in Florham Park, New Jersey that gave me early experience in the legal industry. I also worked as a marketing consultant for Keller Marketing.

Before becoming an attorney, I worked as a bilingual interventionist for the Lafayette School Corporation, helping students to attain academic achievements. In addition, I worked with disabled adults as a direct care provider.

I pride myself on client communication and dispute resolution. I love helping my clients understand legal situations that can be confusing. While I can be an unforgiving adversary, I like to laugh and lighten the mood. I am also an avid sports fan and participant. It should come as no surprise that I am incredibly competitive.
